UPDATED MONDAY 7TH -11PM
QUIZ 1 IS NOW ONLINE - SCROLL DOWN TO SEE IT, COMPLETE & HAND IN ON ARRIVAL
Route planning is well underway - I have just spent another weekend up there - It has been quite difficult this year as firstly there were the floods which have closed quite a few bridges and the winter weather has badly damaged some roads. However I have managed to come up with another awesome new Sunday route that includes the amazing road that many of you missed on last years treasure hunt, a water splash & your favourite mountain passes.
I have been back again & revised the route again. I have got some petrol stations around the half way point. A good item to carry is a petrol can in case you get caught short.
Remember Saturday night last year when we released some chinese lanterns? - it looked great & Mondays national papers carried reports of UFO's over Pooley Bridge www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1193126/Campers-treated-night-time-display-sky-UFO-lights-them.html - So imagine if everyone brought some & we had a mass launch on Saturday night? ;)
We are planning to show the match via a projector in the marquee, if all else fails it will be on in the clubhouse
The camping fees are here: www.parkfootullswater.co.uk/tariffs.html there is also a booking form which you can print off & use when checking in
PLEASE DO NOT COME WITHOUT AN ENTRY - ALSO WE ARE AWARE THAT LAST YEAR SOME PEOPLE CAME WITHOUT BOOKING/PAYING & JUST FOLLOWED THEIR MATES AS THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE NOTES. WE WILL BE CHECKING PASSES MORE THIS YEAR - BUT IF THIS EVENT FAILS THROUGH ME NOT BEING ABLE TO AFFORD TO SUPPORT IT ANY MORE - THEN ITS THOSE PEOPLE WHO ARE TO BLAME

Go to the main camp office (see map) and book & pay for your camping (there is a link to the form on our website)Tell them you are with the mini rally & show them this letter. (the rates are on the website) The camping ticket must be attached to your tent. The campsite has a bar/disco which is members only, You can get a free pass when you sign in for camping, this saves queueing up during the evening. Check in the marquee when the next registration time is for the event & come and register at this time, bring your quiz answers. You will receive your pass which must be brought to each briefing & a car sticker. The stickers are internal. If you have tinted windows and want an external sticker we will swap it for you as we have a limited quantity of these. You will be given another quiz, this must be handed in by 7pm on Saturday. Please keep checking the notices in the marquee as times are subject to change. route & will be checking speeds. The campsite has a strict 10mph limit and strictly no ‘hand brake turns/wheelspinning’ on the field or you will be removed. The camp entry road is NOT a drag strip & we don’t want to hear you going down it at warp factor 10 – there are no pavements and there are families walking in addition to other cars & it is not wide enough to pass. Please keep speed & noise right down in Pooley Bridge as we would like to return next year. Curfew is 12 midnight each night, please stay quiet after this time (no music) there are on site security guards. Remember don’t keep drinking too late as you will be on the road early in the morning. No fires, BBQ’s are ok if lifted up off the grass. If you are going to play football, do it well away from the cars. Dogs must be kept on a lead. No smoking in the marquee due to new laws.

The nearest fuel is back on the A66 junction. (it is best to fill up with fuel on the way back to site at the end of each day so you are ready for the following days events. The nearest supermarket is in Penrith.
If you wish to go in to Pooley Bridge there is a lakeside path at the bottom of the next field (through gate) this is the safest route as the road has no pavements. (if going at night take a torch)
GETTING THERE: Turn off the M6 at J40 and take the A66 west. Turn LEFT at the first roundabout (Petrol – top up NOW) onto the A592. Stay on this until you come to a T junction. Turn LEFT for Pooley Bridge, continue over the bridge & through town turning RIGHT at the Mini roundabout. Turn RIGHT at the crossroads & watch for our field on your right. The camping field is one way do not exit the way you come in.
Things to bring: 20p pieces for the showers, map book (normal road atlas will do) a smile, a pen, a torch, a petrol can & some bin liners
P.s. Please note be ready to leave straight after the briefing on Sunday as it is a long route & the photographers at the splashes cannot wait around for people who go and have breakfast after the briefing.
